March 12 - On the evening of Jimmy's birthday, we took a flight out of Toronto, headed to Delhi (via Brussels). March 13 to March 17 - Delhi, India Our trip began in Delhi - a city that is vast in culture, architecture and modes of transportation!  Carolyn picked us up at the Airport 
Delicious lunch at Swagath   A little of shopping............ followed by a lot of eating...... (if you're curious, click on each link for additional background information on the monument) Jama Masjid (Muslim) Humayun’s Tomb (Muslim)   Qutab Minar (Muslim)    Lotus Temple (Bahai)   Akshardham (Hindu)     One of the highlights of our trip was seeing the Taj Mahal. March 17 to March 20 - Parra, Goa, India While in Goa, we stayed with relatives at Emerald Lawns and visited Dad's village - Lobo's Vaddo - in Parra. Jimmy was introduced to Dad's side of the family in Goa. Highlights here included: * "Slice" mango juice * Jacu the coconut-tree climber * Tasting exotic fruits for the first time (like Love Apple & Cashew Fruit). March 20 to March 27 - Baga, Goa, India Highlights here included: * Our magnificent suite at Nazri Resort along with Chef Munesh's delicious food * Swimming under Dudh Sagar (Milk Falls). March 27 to March 28 - Malad, Mumbai, India Highlights here included: * Jimmy meeting Mom's side of the family for the first time * Lizelle (cute 2 year old cousin) * Mouth-watering Indian dishes prepared by Aunt's Lizzy & Maria (including enormous shrimp the size of lobsters) * The breakfast buffet at Grand Sarovar Premier hotel |
